Today’s workout was a lift only day. The way our main lifting program goes on a weekly basis right now is as follows:
One day centered around bench press with chest and triceps accessory work.
One day focused around the barbell squat with leg accessory work.
One day focused around any variation of standing overhead press with shoulder accessory work.
One day focused on the deadlift with back and bicep accessory work.
For the main lifts (bench, squat, press and deadlift) we follow Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 programming for increasing our strength in these lifts. Our focus on accessory work is to either help with the main lift or hypertrophy.
