How to set up one of our conditioning workouts.
As I mentioned in previous blog posts, we both hate traditional cardio like running and we tend to burn out quickly on the typical “crossfit” style metcon conditioning workouts but at the same time see their benefits. Recently we began researching and expanding our strongman equipment and quickly fell in love with the movements. We immediately noticed improvements and felt the movements were much more natural feeling than, say, a clean and jerk or snatch. In the simplest of terms we are putting ourselves under a load by carrying, dragging, throwing or otherwise moving objects for time.
These are great finishers after our powerlifting focused or as stand alone workouts when we are short on time or its not a lifting day.
This is our first attempt at a how to (and talking to the camera together) so any feedback is welcome!
